On February 21, 2004, the Exchange Club of Richmond Hill was proud to host a banquet in honor of James Wright, a member of the famous Tuskegee Airmen, and WWII fighter pilot. Sonny Dixon, anchor at WTOC-TV was our guest speaker for the night, and recounted some of Mr. Wright's exploits during the war. Mr. Wright is disabled, and a care-giver had recently stole his entire life savings from him. As a token of our club's appreciation for his service to our country, we presented him with a check for $300, and a plaque that he really appreciated. Our nation is deeply indebted to Mr. Wright and other veterans who have sacrificed to preserve our freedom.
