Public Safety Officers of the Year Program
The Exchange Club of Richmond Hill has sponsored a program for nearly twenty years for recognizing outstanding public safety officers that serve and protect our community. For the past several years, we have been pleased to recognize firemen, law enforcement officers, and emergency medical technicians. All of these individuals, and their fellow public safety officers serve our area through their hard work and dedication, and make Bryan County a safer and better place to live and raise our families.
Following is a list of the recipients of our awards for 2011:
Robert L. Linton - Police Officer of the Year - City of Richmond Hill Police Department
Ernest Chuck Alvater - Volunteer Firefighter of the Year - City of Richmond Hill Fire Department
Krista Beck - Bryan County 911 Dispatch Operator of the Year
Chris Cuza - Volunteer Firefighter of the Year - Bryan County Fire Department
Capt. Michael Maxwell - Deputy Sheriff of the Year - Bryan County Sheriff's Department
Patty Phillips - EMT Paramedic of the Year - Bryan County Emergency Medical Service
These fine officers were recognized at our Annual Public Safety Officers Banquet held on March 9, 2011. The 2011 Awards Banquet was well-attended, with over 50 people in attendance. President Tyler Randolph did an outstanding job of handling the introductions and presentations. All of these recipients, and the other public safety personnel they represent are owed a sincere thank you from the citizens they serve and protect.
